LITTLE CHUTE RESIDENT UPDATE 5-29-2020
OPEN SWIM
Out of an abundance of caution the Village of Little Chute has decided to open the Doyle Pool beginning on June 7 to Little Chute residents only. The village wants to ensure it can maintain the cleanliness and policies that are required to keep both our patrons and staff healthy and safe. The first time you visit the pool, Little Chute residents will be required to show proof of residency (water bill, tax bill, or a piece of mail that includes your name and address). The pool will then give you and your family a wrist band that you will use for the entire summer to enter the pool. The Doyle Pool staff will be onsite from 3pm – 6pm Tuesday, June 2 through Saturday, June 6 to allow Little Chute residents an opportunity to come down to the pool to get their wristband ahead of time. Village staff will continue to evaluate our processes and guidelines throughout the summer.
SWIM LESSONS
Also, the Doyle Pool will be modifying early registration period for swim lesson sign-ups. Swim lesson sign-ups will be available to non-residents. However, sign-ups will be open to Little Chute residents ONLY on Tuesday, June 2 and Wednesday, June 3 from 3pm – 6pm at the Doyle Pool. On Thursday, June 4 swim lesson signs will be open for BOTH residents and non-residents from 3pm – 6pm at the Doyle Pool. Swim lessons will be offered in June, July, and August. Please Note: There will be no morning swim lessons offered for Session 1, no private lessons at all, no adaptive swim classes at all, and no parent/child aquatics classes at all. Also, this summer a parent/guardian will be required to be in the pool with children registering for Preschool Aquatics and Level 1 Aquatics classes.
Please remember that our policies at the Doyle Pool can change at anytime throughout the summer. We will continue to update the public of any significant changes at the Doyle Pool. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
Doyle Pool is a wonderful facility to enjoy during the summer. There is one small heated children's wading pool and a large heated pool with a shallow and deep end. In the deep end you can find two low-diving boards and one high-diving board. There is also a single-flume water slide located on the large pool. If you need a break from swimming you can relax on the deck while having a snack from the concession stand. The facility is staffed by Red Cross Certified lifeguards to ensure safety for everyone swimming. Everyone must pay to enter the pool area, even if you are only watching kids at pool. The pool will be closed if the air temperature is below 65 degrees fahrenheit. There are no refunds of admission fees due to foul weather. To contact the pool office, please call 687-5322
